Columbus has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee doesn't have fears. If he did, he'd kick their ever-living ass. Zombieland was a very good horror film/comedy. Most films that try to combine horror and comedy fail, in my opinion. This one hits the mark.

    •  I thoroughly enjoyed "Zombieland" While it projected a campy aura the themes of trust, family, and love shone through. The visual effects were terrific. Of course the after movie discussion was lively and entertaining. It was a fun group.
    •  I thought it was going to be OK, it was great!

The reviews and the buzz are on the mark---this film IS quite funny and delivers an hour or so of relaxing entertainment. It adopts many of the conventions found in "28 Days Later", "I am Legend" and George Romero's "...Dead" series and adds snappy dialog and talented comic actors who appear to enjoy working with each other. The film's cinematography, sound design and soundtrack are also very good. I recommend it, in particular, for budget matinees and as a rental.
    •  Went expecting to be underwhelmed, but was pleasantly entertained. The conversation and conviviality at the after-show discussion was as effervescent as Dr Brown's celery soda - which, by the way, is bloody marvellous!
