  “ Thoroughly enjoyable, well-written and directed film. Realism and understatement are the order of the day, and that makes this film all the more refreshing. The opulence and magnificence of court, Buckingham Palace,royal costume are noticeably there and marvelous, but are not belabored over. A certain realism and letting the plot speak for itself make this film only that much more enjoyable. Emily Blunt's acting is flawless and superb. She does a fine job and honestly makes the movie, although other cast members are very worthy. Much more impressive to me is the fact that historically it is extremely accurate. And it is quite enjoyable to see a movie here without the Hollywood dramatic schmaltz added in! Even Elizabeth did much of that. I highly recommend this movie especially to any history buff or those intrigued by European dynasty. ”
